Information for Providers

The SeroPrEP Study seeks to understand why breakthrough HIV infections occur despite oral PrEP and CAB-LA use by performing sensitive assays for PrEP drug levels, ARV resistance, and HIV diagnostics. By helping to understand the reasons for breakthrough infections, our goal is to ultimately help avert future HIV infections among persons using PrEP modalities and ensure optimal HIV treatment outcomes on ART if HIV infection occurs.

Participation in the study involves the following:

  • Completion of a brief online survey and consent
  • Collection of blood, urine, small hair samples
  • Behavioral questionnaire
  • Participants may be followed for 1 year
